We hired Preferred to redo our siding and gutters after a friend had recommended them. They did a fantastic job! Our house in Glenside is old and has an unusually steep pitch. The whole neighborhood was impressed with the speed and efficiency of the workers. They worked hard and consistently and even worked on Saturday to get the job done. They cleaned up the job during and at the end of every shift. Paul Ormsby sold and managed the job and was very friendly and responsive to work with. I would use Preferred again.

Hello All, my wife and I contracted with Preferred Home Improvement for some exterior house renovations. We have our gutters, soffits, siding, front pillars, and the rear sliding door replaced. We also had them build a 20'x30' patio with a 20'x20' roof. Both Mike Sr. and Mike Jr. where extremely experienced and knowledgeable in to process. We could tell that they have been in the industry for a long time and take pride in what they can do for their customers. The process was quick and construction progressed at a good pace. The crews were diligent and well skilled. There were a few communication lapses that were quickly handled by Mike Jr. and everything worked out for a great end product. We love our new outdoor space and the how our home looks. We continuously get compliments from the neighbors, and folks that come over. We will be returning to Preferred Home Improvement for future projects including our roof and an addition. Here are pictures of the house today. Thank you Mike Sr., Mike Jr., and all those at PHI!

Hired Mike and his company to replace our windows and install a portico. They did a phenomenal job that we hired them to do a bathroom remodel. We regretted our decision. We felt that they were rushing through the job based on the amount of repairs we had to ask them to fix. We are currently waiting months for them to come back out to fix our floor tiles because it cracked. And now the handle of the faucet is loose. I have reached out to them last week and today for an update and they haven't returned my phone calls. Really disappointed in the way they are handling my case.

They replaced our stucco with Hardie Board and installed 11 new windows. Everything looks great! Mike and his crew were terrific and extremely responsive to our requests. They do the little extras that sets them apart from other contractors.

We had a deeply disappointing experience with Preferred Home Improvement. While they were working on our neighbor's deck, we noticed debris, including wood pieces, dust, and other materials, left on our side, which was already concerning. However, what was more alarming was the additional damage caused to our deck. Our deck has been deemed unsafe by an engineer, and any further damage could result in catastrophic failure. Despite having photos of our deck with the damage, the owner of Preferred Home Improvement showed up with an attitude that was both condescending and dismissive.When I initially called and spoke with Alex and Mike, I even joked that maybe they could give us a quote for our deck when we're ready to get it done, giving them the benefit of the doubt and hoping they would make things right. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, the owner questioned why he was even there, given the existing condition of our deck. This is unacceptable behavior from any business, let alone one whose employees caused damage and left debris on our property. We were essentially accused of trying to get a "free job" out of the situation, which was not only insulting but also completely unfounded.We are beyond disappointed with the lack of professionalism and the disrespect shown by the owner. We will be pursuing a formal complaint with the BBB and will be bringing this issue to the attention of our HOA. We expected better and would caution anyone considering this company for their home improvement needs.----UPDATE AS OF 10/17--- We have recv'd a reply from BBB which further goes to make a joke out of us. We never made a joke to get a FREE deck, we said we need a quote for a deck as in a paid quote and if you’d be here fixing what your workers broke, we would asked you for a deck quote. Again, an unfounded and degrading remark. We would like this resolved ASAP. Please reach out to us/reply to our email since you advised you would like to resolve this.
