R.J. Roofing & Development Co. Introduce
R.J. Roofing & Development Co. has served the New Jersey community as a roofing contractor for many years, but recent public feedback and reviews have raised serious questions about their business practices. While they have presented themselves as a professional and reliable option for roofing and development needs, multiple customer accounts suggest a pattern of taking payment for work that is never completed. It is crucial for anyone considering hiring them to be aware of these serious allegations. This article, while providing general information about their stated services and location, also serves to highlight the importance of thorough research before engaging with any contractor.
The company, operating from its listed address in Trenton, New Jersey, has a history that, according to recent public reviews, is marred by unfulfilled contracts and unresponsive communication. Customers have reported paying significant upfront costs for roofing projects, only to have the company repeatedly delay or completely abandon the work. These claims suggest that funds provided for materials and labor may have been misappropriated, leaving clients, including a church, in a difficult and costly situation with an unfinished or neglected project. This pattern of alleged behavior is highly concerning and should be a primary consideration for any prospective client.
The alleged actions of R.J. Roofing & Development Co. directly contradict the expected standards of a professional service provider. Customers have detailed instances where phone calls and text messages were ignored, and voicemails could not be left, indicating a deliberate effort to avoid accountability. The distress and financial loss described in these public reviews paint a clear picture of a company that, at least in these reported cases, has failed to uphold its most basic obligations. Before making any decisions, it is highly recommended to investigate these claims further and seek out multiple quotes and references from other, more reputable roofing contractors in the New Jersey area.
Due to the severe nature of the allegations, it is not possible to provide a comprehensive, positive overview of their services as originally intended. The provided reviews from real customers indicate a significant and troubling gap between the company's stated purpose and its alleged actions. The primary focus of any information regarding this company must therefore be on consumer caution and due diligence. A reliable contractor is one that communicates clearly, adheres to agreed-upon timelines, and operates with integrity. The public record, in this case, suggests that R.J. Roofing & Development Co. may not meet these critical criteria. It is always wise to choose a contractor with a proven track record of successful projects and positive client testimonials that can be independently verified. Always ask for recent references and check public business review sites before handing over any money.
The alleged conduct of the business, as described by multiple customers, raises serious concerns about its ethical standards and financial management. A business that allegedly takes money for services it fails to render, and then ceases all communication, is a significant red flag for any consumer. In such a scenario, the focus shifts from evaluating the quality of their work to assessing the risk of engaging with them at all. This situation serves as a powerful reminder for homeowners and organizations in New Jersey to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough background checks on any contractor they plan to hire. A simple search for reviews and public complaints can save a great deal of time, money, and stress down the line. It is always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to significant home improvement projects.
The listed location and contact information for the company are public record, but given the reported unresponsiveness, it is uncertain how useful this information would be for prospective clients seeking a quote or existing clients trying to resolve an issue. The public reviews suggest that attempts to contact the company through these channels have been unsuccessful in the past. This lack of communication is a critical factor for anyone considering their services. A key element of a successful business relationship is a reliable line of communication, and the reports suggest this is severely lacking. For this reason, it is important to proceed with extreme caution and consider all available information, including these negative reviews, when making a decision about a roofing contractor. The safety and security of your property depend on choosing a trustworthy professional.
When selecting a roofing contractor in New Jersey, it is essential to look for a company with a strong reputation for honesty, transparency, and quality craftsmanship. Companies that provide detailed contracts, offer clear project timelines, and have a portfolio of satisfied clients are generally a much safer choice. In contrast, the reports regarding R.J. Roofing & Development Co. highlight the risks associated with companies that operate without such transparency. The financial and emotional cost of a project gone wrong can be significant, making the initial research phase the most critical step. By taking the time to vet multiple contractors and check their references, New Jersey residents can protect themselves from potential scams and ensure their roofing project is completed correctly and on time. Always trust your instincts, and if something feels off, it probably is.
Ultimately, the information available about R.J. Roofing & Development Co. is a cautionary tale for anyone in the New Jersey area looking for a roofing contractor. The positive portrayal that any business might present is only one side of the story. The public reviews and customer complaints provide a starkly different perspective, one that is highly critical and alleges serious misconduct. For this reason, it is not possible to recommend their services based on the provided data. The responsible course of action for any consumer is to prioritize businesses with a clean track record, strong positive reviews, and a clear commitment to customer satisfaction. Your peace of mind and the integrity of your home are too important to risk on a company with such concerning reports against it. Always seek out businesses that have a long history of serving the community with integrity and trust. When it comes to your roof, the most important decision is choosing the right partner for the job.
Location and Accessibility

It is always advisable to confirm that a company is licensed and insured and to check for any public complaints or legal actions against them, regardless of their location. The accessibility of their office does not negate the importance of careful due diligence before making any financial commitments. May 29 · Cee SMy company engaged RJs roofing to replace a roof, including soffits and gutters in late September. We were quoted $6250 to do and paid $3500 upfront to begin the work. RJs company began work first week of october and took 2.5 weeks to do half of the roof. On multiple occasions we had to track him down by leaving written letters on his vehicle at his home. When the roof was 75% complete he demanded full payment stating that he would complete the roof in the upcoming days. Against our better judgement we paid an additional $2500 for fear he would leave the work done incomplete. He returned the following week to finish the roof. When he claimed it was done, it rained that evening and water began pouring into our property. Prior to his work on the roof there were no leaks in that section of the property. He also told us that soffits were not included in our contract though we are certain we initially agreed to the soffits. In order to do the soffits, we were quite an additional $6000. We were outraged at that amount and contacted another roofer who quoted the same exact job for $1200.We took videos of the leaks and shared with RJ he has not returned to repair the damage and we are likely going to have to find and pay another roofer to repair the work. This is 6 weeks into an engagement that should have taken a week tops.I am writing this review as a caution to anyone looking for a roofer in Trenton, NJ. Do yourself a favor and don't get scammed by this man. I wholeheartedly believe that the two reviews that were written prior to this were false and left by friends of the business owner. We will be taking legal recourse to attempt to recoup or money.
