Collazo Roofing Services, operating out of Lancaster, advertises a comprehensive suite of services ranging from routine **Roof Repair** to extensive **Exterior Renovation** and specialized **Roof repair for storm & wind damage**.
However, an essential part of selecting any contractor involves thoroughly researching their reputation and history. In the case of Collazo Roofing Services, the public record includes serious and concerning customer feedback. While the company lists a broad array of home improvement options, multiple customers have published highly critical accounts alleging severe issues with the quality of work, unfulfilled contracts, and unresponsive communication, including during documented disputes with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office. This crucial information is vital for any Pennsylvania resident considering their services.

Features / Highlights (Customer-Reported Concerns)
For any local business, its true features are best reflected by the outcomes of its work and the manner in which it conducts business. The overwhelming customer accounts publicly available detail significant deviations from professional standards. These are presented here as a necessary cautionary overview for potential customers:
UL
LI
Alleged Non-Compliance and Disputes: The primary concern is an alleged dispute confirmed by a customer to the **PA Attorney General**, who reportedly made repeated, unsuccessful attempts to contact the contractor to resolve the issue./LI>LI
Substandard Workmanship: Multiple accounts highlight **"awful"** and **"sloppy"** work. A customer documented **"extensive damage to brick chimneys"** and the complete ruin of a metal roof caused by the attempted repairs./LI>LI
Failure to Resolve Leaks: A key failure is the inability to fix the core problem; one review states, **"All the leaking spots are still leaking,"** confirmed with moisture meter readings./LI>LI
Causing New Damage: In one instance, a customer reported new water infiltration and damage inside their home due to the contractor allegedly installing a bathroom exhaust fan vent pipe **incorrectly**./LI>LI
Poor Project Management: Complaints include the contractor showing up **"late, doesn't show up at all, shows up unprepared,"** and misrepresenting the scope of completed work (e.g., flashing only one of three chimneys, with the excuse being he "forgot")./LI>LI
Lack of Post-Service Accountability: A critical issue is the failure to respond to requests for follow-up on failed work. One customer noted their roof did **"not pass inspection"** for home insurance, and despite nearly six months of contact attempts, the contractor had not seriously addressed the issue./LI>LI
Unprofessional Stance on Quality: A particularly alarming direct quote from Miquel Collazo to a customer about continued moisture issues was, **"Moisture is not my issue. Watertight is my issue,"** a statement that seems contradictory to the basic function of a roofing contractor./LI>/UL

What is Worth Choosing (Informed Decision-Making)
For any homeowner in the Pennsylvania region, the decision of which contractor to hire must be made with eyes wide open, prioritizing trust, reliability, and confirmed quality. While Collazo Roofing Services advertises a full range of necessary exterior services, the volume and severity of detailed public complaints cannot be overlooked.
The accounts of poor craftsmanship that allegedly worsened existing problems, the unaddressed code compliance issues that led to an inspection failure, and the documented refusal to resolve a complaint filed with the **PA Attorney General** are serious red flags. These incidents suggest a pattern of behavior that is the antithesis of the professional service homeowners expect.
Protecting your home from the harsh Pennsylvania elements requires a watertight, skilled, and accountable approach. Therefore, before committing to any home improvement project, local users are strongly encouraged to utilize resources such as the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Home Improvement Consumer Protection database to verify a contractor’s registration and to thoroughly vet reviews across multiple independent platforms. Choosing a trusted, highly-rated contractor who prioritizes professional conduct and guarantees their work is paramount to avoiding what multiple customers have described as a disastrous and regrettable experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Miquel Collazo of Collazo Roofing Services is a SCAM ARTIST, confirmed by the PA Attorney General who made repeated attempts to contact him to resolve our dispute and he refused to respond to them, all of which is documented. When I was looking for someone to make a few repairs to my house, Rocky Phillips came highly recommended and seemed to have a very positive reputation in Columbia, so when he had an issue with his vehicle and couldn't fulfill the work I just took his word that his sub contractor, Miquel Collazo, was going to be decent, without doing any research. The entire experience was a disaster, to sum it up: Miquel told me the work was done and wanted full payment... but then I realized he only flashed 1 of 3 chimneys!!! His excuse was he forgot. He shows up late, doesn't show up at all, shows up unprepared. His work is awful, I'll try to share pictures so you can see the sloppiness that allegedly took 3 guys 4 days to complete. All the leaking spots are still leaking, confirmed by comparing readings on a moisture meter. His "repairs" completely ruined a metal roof and caused extensive damage to brick chimneys, so not only did he not stop the water infiltration but he caused additional water damage. All of this has been documented by a professional inspector.Miquel also installed a vent pipe for a bathroom exhaust fan incorrectly, causing it to leak, so now there's new water damage in my house where there wasn't any to begin with! When confronted about all of this, he first ignored me, until I threatened to report him to the Attorney General. Only then did he finally respond, at which point he told me (and I quote) "Moisture is not my issue. Watertight is my issue."I regret being a good person and paying him, because now I still have a leaking roof and was out of hard earned money right before Christmas. He told Rocky Phillips a bunch of different stories and Rocky insists he will never use this sub contractor again, but I have a feeling that the two of them are in cahoots anyway since no one in their right mind would condone this kind of work. That is your reputation up there on that roof you scammer, Miquel Collazo!!
June 14 · BA CKHired them to fix my roof, one month later I had inspection for home insurance, the roof did not pass inspection. I tried reaching out to Collazo roofing multiple times, and always got “oh yeah I’ll take a look at the contract we had agreed on and get back to you” nearly 6 months later still haven’t gotten them to look at this seriously. Would not recommend

October 09 · Marlene RetamarAfter years of leaks and botched repairs by other guys, my roof is finally leak free! Mr. Collazo and his crew are very professional and hard working. The job was done quickly and efficiently from start to clean up. Best of all, no more leaks! Thanks guys. Great Job!
June 05 · Mike RoweYou get what you pay for....Terrible experience.Completely unprofessional and horrible communication.Crooked, incomplete and messy install. Caulk everywhere to fill in big gaps.Didn’t clean up very well after job.Asked back after initial install due to the gutters not actually doing what they are supposed to do....divert water away from the house. Water coming in behind.Came back fixed back portion which was pouring water down the walls. Similar issue in the front andpromised it would be fixed multiple times and that I wouldn’t have to worry. Never showed back up to finish the job the right way. Waste of money and almost TWO months of time dealing with what was supposed to be a simple gutter install.
