Hiring Avery was one of the worst decisions I’ve made as a homeowner. What should have been a straightforward roofing project turned into a long ordeal full of excuses, delays, and unfinished work.During the roof installation, his crew actually damaged my gutters, and instead of taking responsibility, Avery denied any wrongdoing. This has left me with ongoing water runoff issues and costly repairs that were never addressed.On top of that, several critical items from our contract remain incomplete — including proper flashing installation and correction of the misaligned weathervane. The photo “proof” he provided failed to show these issues were ever resolved, and requests for clear documentation (like water testing or close-up flashing photos) were ignored.To make matters worse, he altered the siding/trim against our agreement, changing the look of the house without authorization. Despite my detailed follow-ups and availability for him to finish, Avery repeatedly failed to follow through.In my experience, Avery does not stand by his word or his workmanship. I would strongly advise anyone considering hiring him to look elsewhere — he was unreliable, unprofessional, and unwilling to take responsibility for damage caused by his own work.

Avery took care of my huge project, he took my 1880’s house and made it new again. His crew took my roof down to the rafters and put all new plywood and it looked amazing. The siding and windows were another huge project that came out absolutely amazing. The bathroom he added for us was exceptional, we could not be happier.

Avery and his team of pros renovated our bathroom and laundry/utility room. We couldn’t have been happier. He is trustworthy, skilled and super nice. He even saw little things (like our front door was a struggle to lock as it had settled since being installed) and he fixed it without me even knowing it until I went to lock it and it was “like butter”! He consistently showed up when he promised and finished our job quickly and e pertly. He never left a mess and helped me with design decisions and accessory purchases. I HIGHLY recommend his company. I’ve never had a better experience with contractors and skilled renovators as I did with Avery. Plus he hooked me up with the best plumbers and electricians that we still use to this day.
